Embarking on a tour to Pokhara is an enchanting experience that promises a perfect blend of serene natural beauty, exhilarating activities, and vibrant cultural exploration. Here’s what you can expect on this journey:
We start our journey from Kathmandu with an early morning drive or flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and freshen up. After lunch, we begin our exploration of Pokhara with a visit to Phewa Lake, where we enjoy a relaxing boat ride. We then visit the Tal Barahi Temple, located on an island in the middle of the lake. Later, we take a stroll along the Lakeside area, which is bustling with shops, cafes, and restaurants. In the evening, we can enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Pokhara.
We wake up early to catch the stunning sunrise view from Sarangkot, a hilltop offering panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After breakfast, we visit the Bindhyabasini Temple, one of the oldest temples in Pokhara, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga. Our next stop is Devi’s Fall, a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep canal with no end. Adjacent to the fall is Gupteshwor Cave, a sacred cave with a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. We then proceed to the International Mountain Museum, where we learn about the history of mountaineering and the culture of the mountain people. In the afternoon, we visit the World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa that offers a spectacular view of the city, Phewa Lake, and the mountains. The evening is free for shopping and exploring the Lakeside area.
In the morning, we have the option to indulge in adventure activities such as paragliding, zip-lining, or an ultralight flight to get a bird’s-eye view of the Pokhara Valley and the Himalayas. After breakfast, we visit the Seti River Gorge, a natural wonder that flows through the city and creates a deep chasm. We then check out from the hotel and prepare for our return journey to Kathmandu by road or air. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we transfer to our hotel and conclude our tour.
