Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593ft)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. You’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore the vibrant city and its cultural landmarks.

Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,860m/9,383ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

An early morning flight takes you to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, you’ll start your trek with a gentle walk to the village of Phakding, passing through charming Sherpa settlements and lush landscapes.

Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,286ft)

The trek continues along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through pine forests. After a challenging ascent, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar, the bustling heart of the Khumbu region.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

A day reserved for acclimatization, you’ll explore Namche Bazaar and its surroundings. Optional hikes to the Everest View Hotel or the Sherpa Museum offer stunning vistas and cultural insights.

Day 5: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m/12,664ft)

The trail ascends and descends through picturesque landscapes, with views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You’ll arrive at Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, a spiritual center of the Khumbu region.

Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,468ft)

You’ll trek through lush rhododendron forests and cross the Imja Khola, gradually ascending to the village of Dingboche. This village offers a tranquil setting with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4,730m/15,518ft)

A shorter trek today takes you to Chhukung, a small village nestled in the Imja Valley. The day includes additional acclimatization and preparation for the climb ahead.

Day 8: Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200m/17,060ft)

The journey continues to Island Peak Base Camp, crossing glacial moraines and rugged terrain. Upon arrival, you’ll set up camp and prepare for the summit push.

Day 9: Summit Island Peak (6,189m/20,305ft) and Return to Chhukung

An early morning start leads you up the steep slopes of Island Peak. After a challenging climb, you’ll reach the summit, rewarded with breathtaking views. Afterward, you’ll descend back to Chhukung.

Day 10: Trek from Chhukung to Lukla via Namche Bazaar and Fly to Kathmandu

You’ll retrace your steps back to Lukla, enjoying the familiar trails and scenic landscapes. From Lukla, you’ll take a flight back to Kathmandu, where you can celebrate your successful trek.
