Chitwan beckons with its rich tapestry of wildlife, cultural heritage, and lush landscapes, making it a captivating destination in Nepal. Here’s what you can expect on this immersive adventure:
We begin our journey with an early morning drive or flight from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Upon arrival, we check into our lodge and relax. In the afternoon, we take a village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where we learn about their culture and lifestyle. In the evening, we enjoy a traditional Tharu dance performance.
We start our day with a hearty breakfast before heading into Chitwan National Park for a full-day wildlife safari. We explore the park on a jeep safari, looking out for various wildlife species including rhinos, tigers, deer, and birds. We also visit the Gharial Breeding Center to learn about the conservation efforts for these unique crocodiles. The day ends with a relaxing evening at the lodge.
After breakfast, we embark on a serene canoe ride along the Rapti River, where we can spot crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife. Following the canoe ride, we take a guided jungle walk through the national park, offering a closer look at the flora and fauna. We return to the lodge for lunch and have the afternoon free to relax or explore more of the surrounding area.
In the morning, we experience an elephant safari, riding through the jungle on the back of an elephant and getting up close to the wildlife. After the safari, we enjoy breakfast and then head out for a bird-watching tour, as Chitwan is home to a diverse array of bird species. We spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps enjoying the amenities of our lodge.
We begin the day with a visit to the Elephant Breeding Center, where we learn about the life cycle and habits of elephants and the efforts being made to protect them. The afternoon is free for us to relax, explore the local market, or take part in additional activities offered by the lodge. In the evening, we enjoy a farewell dinner at the lodge.
After breakfast, we check out from the lodge and start our journey back to Kathmandu by road or air. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we transfer to our hotel, concluding our tour.
